What DOCAXO does — and doesn't do
PDF is a print format, not a document format. We would rather tell you the limits up front than surprise you after you have paid.
It does
- Editable text blocks: click a text run, retype it, and DOCAXO re-typesets it with the closest standard font (Helvetica, Times or Courier families).
- Simple electronic signatures drawn or typed, flattened into the page on export.
- AcroForm filling, freehand drawing, highlights, rotate/reorder/add/delete pages — all in the browser.
- Merge, split, compress, protect, unlock and true redaction as server jobs; OCR on GPU workers.
- Best-effort PDF → Word, Word → PDF via LibreOffice, PDF → JPG, Excel → CSV and CSV → Excel.
It doesn't
- Reflow paragraphs like a word processor — long text edits may need manual line breaks.
- Keep embedded fonts when you edit text; they are approximated with standard fonts.
- Produce qualified (eIDAS) signatures or certificate-based seals — signatures are simple electronic signatures.
- Round-trip PDF → Word pixel-identically; layout is approximated and tables may become tab-separated paragraphs.
- Recover unknown passwords, or enforce PDF permissions as DRM.
